Keys? Check. Tickets? Check. Nukes? Shit.

It seems as though things could play themselves out like this:
(1) We manage to damage earth and/or organized civilization beyond repair and move to another solar system leaving behind a crusty desolate ball.
(2) Once we get there we wage some war with the aliens and need to travel back home to Earth to get our nuclear weapons we left behind.
