If I may...
aaron: because the proper way to say your last sentence is: "I don't think

You ever sometimes find yourself driving somewhere and suddenly get an urge to follow someone? Not in the "I-want-to-follow-and-kill-you-for-cutting-me-off" type of urge. But the "I-wonder-where-you-are-going/you-look-like-you-are-going-someplace-cool" urge. Yes? No? I do sometimes. But I haven't ever followed through. I have wanted to...
But yesterday, I followed someone on foot. I was compelled to (much like I find myself compelled to watch the "Milkshake Song" video- cause it is so hideous I can't look away...ugh). This woman did 6 stupid things in a row and I followed her because I wanted more. Highlights. On the tail-end of yesterday evening's commute I was exiting the Metro station and notice a woman perplexed by the handicapped turnstyle, which spits your Metro ticket out in a different place than the regular ones. She can't figure this thing out and suddenly, like magic, the turnstyle gates on the one next to her open so she grabs the child with her and runs through- much to the chagrin of the person's who ticket on the other side opened the gate. She switched lanes and used up another person's fare! Amazing!
Then she proceeded to walk home and nearly missed getting run over by busses and cars only 4 times! Each time she prepared to cross the street she waited until the worst time (eg, a bus speeding up to clear the intersection) and then gunned it. I just couldn't take my eyes away...I had to follow her. And I would have followed her all the way home but it is really cold out. Similar weather as mentioned in Aaron's weather blog.

There is something intangible about gore that always attracts us to train wrecks whether they be wrecks of trains, cars, toasters, people.

I'd like to look at it from the more positive perspective that we are interested and drawn in because deep down inside we feel we are confident in our CPR skills and want to help.

I think you should get one of those digital spy cameras and take a photo series. You could title it "I'm a harmless stalker, really" and people would pay money to view small framed shots that you hung on the wall at the Institue or wherever.
