Before and after boy
It's possible that this observation only happened due to the regular (and possibly inappropriate) grouping together of different genres (Rap and R&B) by the media, but has anyone else noticed this very predictable pattern?:
First: young rappah hits the scene and crows about da clubs and how many b****es they can play and how much money they make
Then: older, wiser rappah comes out with heartfelt balldads saying he's sorry and that he's all smoove now and that the (one and only) lady of his eye should take him back and they'll be forevah

wow, this blog is interesting. lots of short thoughts, sort of a stream of consciousness.
as far as your post, you're dead on target man. this mainstream machine basically tells music artists what they have to do to have the greatest odds of actually turning a profit. we'll have to see if idiots like cassidy actually end up switching around.
