The Living City
Some (including many New Yorkers) may long for the great outdoors crying "our air is so sterile and dead... it doesn't have the smell that the country does."
Of course this is entirely untrue. Take the span of just the last 20 minutes in Brooklyn:
- The Haus Interactive offices were giving off the smell of "Goof Off" chemical cleaner because the employees were unable to go outside for ventilation due to rain
- Immediately outside one would smell burning plastic. Where from? We do not know and it is difficult to tell as there are police and amulance lights flashing down no less that three different streets.
- Down the street there is the scent of damp garbage that was left on the curb by the local McDonalds
- At the corner there is the sweet smell of raw sewage. Perhaps due to rain there was a spill off from Park Slope?

(un) Packing for the road ahead
On earth we go to great lengths to create/buy/pack things for our travels here.
When our time is up we must be ready to "unpack" for the next part of the trip.
