Being a freelancer can be a very satisfying lifestyle; flexible schedules, less in-office bureaucracy, and a wonderful variety of projects, clients, and people. But weekly payments still take on this quality like you're being strung along by a Walt-Disney-like (just slightly too plump and juicy to be real) carrot dangled right in front of you.
Now being a freelancer on a *monthly* (or less frequent) invoice/payment schedule -- that's like saddling up your horse and wandering out onto the range to work and sleep under the stars. Mmm, real organic pesticide-free carrots!
